About us
We’re Nana and Paa Kwesi. We make Tabworthy in Accra.
Tabworthy is a sales app for food and drink businesses in Ghana, made by two founders in Accra. Here’s why it exists, where it is today, and how to reach us.
Why we built it
Most businesses we know can’t answer a simple question at the end of the day: how did it go? Not because they aren’t good at what they do. They’re very good at it. It’s because the answer is scattered across a drawer, a phone full of MoMo messages, an exercise book and somebody’s memory, and nobody has time to put it together at eleven at night.
The tills that exist were mostly built for somewhere else: for card payments, reliable power and a laptop in the back office. Here, the money comes as cash and MoMo, the light goes off, and the office is the owner’s phone.
So we’re building a till for here. One that takes MoMo properly, keeps selling when the network goes, knows who sold what, and tells you what the day made wherever you are.
Where it is today
Tabworthy is new. It’s in early access, and we’re opening it to a first circle of food and drink businesses a few at a time: chop bars, restaurants, bars and spots, cafés, bakeries, takeaways and food trucks. We’d rather get it right for a few businesses than wrong for a lot.
If you’d like to be one of them, Join the Gathering. If you’d like to see what it does first, what it does has a page for each part, and the questions page has straight answers to what people ask us first.
